BOG - NOW BOGGLE, BUT STILL CALLED BOG
Boggle is an oldie who got left behind in a locked up house when the owner went into hospital to pass away. The family, sadly, didn’t care much, took only the younger dog, but left the old chap and an old cat behind. We rescued them both and both are now happily rehomed. We wish more people would give elderly pets a home as they are just such fabulous companions.
First sight of Bog online
I was contacted about an old gentleman with sight and hearing issues that had found himself needing a new home at the grand old age of eighteen. Of course, I said I’d take him on, who could refuse that face!

The scruffy muffin that descended on the tenth of June 2022.

First visit to the groomers, beautiful eyes now in view.

First beach visit. Loves paddling and rolling in the sand.

Looks peaceful but Zen has to be supervised with Bog because Bog can’t see him and so doesn’t react like Zen wants him to, i.e., submits and backs down to his greater position in the pack.

Bog curls up and sleeps on anything, this is a snuffle mat that obviously proved comfortable.

Part of the pack of four.

Travels well in the car, first holiday to Wales.

And then there were five.

One more! Six.

Sunny days are for sharing

And so are beds.
“Bog has surprised us all; not sure his initial age was correct as he behaves like a much younger dog. He has been with me over a year now and no sign of slowing down. He took a long time to bond but now can sniff food being prepared a mile away and turns up like the silent ghost at a party. His favourite thing is his morning walks where he squeaks with excitement to get out the door. He is not a fan of cuddles so doesn’t have them forced on him however he does love a good head rub. He makes me smile because he is so obviously happy in his home with his hotchpotch of pals.”
